A speakers list for works councils
In a works council meeting you want everyone to be heard, not just whoever talks loudest. With TalkingStick, members sign up on their phone or laptop, and the chair gives the floor in a fair order.

Why a speakers list helps
A works council or school council often meets with a full agenda and a fixed end time. Whoever reacts fast gets the floor. Whoever thinks first, or joins online, gets fewer chances.
With a visible list, everyone knows their turn will come. That makes the conversation calmer, and the chair doesn't have to choose who goes first.
Handy in a works council
-
Meetings with management: let the director join as a guest with the code. They are on the same list as the members.
-
Questions per topic: a question or comment sits under the agenda item it is about. So you see what is still open.
-
Speaking time: whoever has the floor sees the time running. That helps to stay on time.
-
Hybrid: members in the room and at home are on one list.
Questions
Can guests like the director join without an account?
Yes. Guests open the link, type their name and the chair lets them in.
Can others see what is discussed?
Only people who were let into the meeting see the speakers list. TalkingStick keeps the topics and names on the list, no minutes or recordings.
What does it cost?
Nothing, while it is in testing. If a paid version comes later, you will hear well in advance.
Does it work with Teams or Zoom?
Yes, side by side. The conversation runs through Teams or Zoom, the speakers list through TalkingStick in the browser.
Would your group use this?
TalkingStick is new. Whether I turn it into a complete product depends on your answer. It's three questions.
